Georgie’s Autism Diagnosis Journey | A Life Update

So today I want to share with you a bit about Georgie’s Autism diagnosis journey. This all started back in September 2019, when we had Georgie’s two year review with a health visitor and a community nurse. It was during this review that they picked up on some warning signs which caused them concern, in relation to Georgie’s development and progress, and decided to make a referral to our community paediatrician.

Finding a Suitable Nursery for your Toddler | Hints & Tips

Finding a suitable nursery for your toddler can be a real challenge. Now that Georgie is almost two and a half, we feel that he would really benefit from attending a nursery. Since having it confirmed that Georgie has delayed speech and language, we’ve been doing everything we can to support him. And we’d got to a point where we thought that going to nursery would be a big step forward for him.

Over the past month, I have spent more time in hospital with our toddler than I care to think about. It’s been a long journey, with countless sleepless night in a hopsital bed. Trying to work out what is going on for our son. Well, 4 weeks after he first became ill we finally have the answer! But it’s taken many tests, doctors and a couple of hospital stays to figure it out.

Struggling Through Life with Two Under Two | An Update

Let’s talk honestly. We’ve been struggling through life since we had two under two. It’s been really hard. Most days, I’ve felt like I’m just about keeping things a-float. Some days we’ve sunk. Well and truly sunk. It’s not been easy. Both children are learning and growing so quickly, demanding of attention and are getting to know one another; then you’re trying to support your family, work, juggle a million things.. Yes, it’s a struggle.

6 Ways to Help Your Toddler Sleep Through the Night

Anyone who follows us on social media will probably have seen my stories recently about how much of a terrible sleeper Georgie is. Georgie is almost two and a half, and he has always struggled at night; he never slept through as a baby, in fact he was well over a year old before he slept through the night and that seems to have been short lived because not only does he not sleep through the night any more but he also takes ages to go off to sleep in the first place!
