So exciting news guys! We’ve booked a holiday. Yesss! We are actually going on holiday, for the first time in six years. I actually can’t believe that it’s been that long since I last went abroad. Life really does get in the way and the years fly by and then before you know it, another year has past and you’ve not managed to get away. But now we have booked a holiday and I can’t wait!

As you can imagine, I am extremely excited. When Steve suggested going away I jumped at the opportunity. He had planned it already, where we were going, what we would be doing; flights, accommodation, hire car! He’d thought of it all. Now we just had to put the plan into motion, and organise ourselves (which is easier said than done with two young children, eek).

So do you want to know where we are going?! We’re going to Tropical Islands Resort in Germany. It’s the worlds biggest indoor water park, located inside a Blimp Hanger. How cool does that sound?! It stretches across 100,000 square metres, and overnight guests get 24 hour access to loads of different area’s and activities located on site!

There’s an indoor rainforest, complete with flamingo’s(!), there’s water slides, lazy rivers, eating & dining, a surf simulator, hot air balloon rides, a sauna, spa and so much more. I’m so exited. I’m worried though because we’ve only booked for 3 days and I’m not sure that we are going to get round everything. It’s massive.

To make things even better, we’re actually staying in a teepee onsite! Steve & I love to do things a little different; previously we’ve enjoyed weekend stays in hobbit huts, glamping and a treehouse is also on our wish list! So when we read that you could stay in a teepee, we knew that that was exactly what we were going to be doing.

They have 25 teepee’s located on site; all of which come with light mattresses, duvets, pillows and electricity supply. You can chose whether you want your teepee to sleep 4, 5 or 8 people and I guess the more people it sleeps, the larger the teepee. We’ve obviously gone for the smallest option; but I cannot wait to get onsite and see what they’re like.

Guys, as I’m sure you can imagine I cannot wait until April 2020 when we go. I’m going to keep you all updated and keep your eyes peeled for pictures, video’s and coverage across our social media accounts to enjoy the expereince with us!
